Oxford Brookes now centres its Oxford teaching at Headington, with additional current activity at Swindon. The University confirms that it has formally left Wheatley, so the former Wheatley URL should consolidate into this current institution guide.
Accommodation planning for Oxford Brookes University
Oxford Brookes publishes University-managed halls, partnership halls, and shared houses. Provider, campus route, room type, contract length, payment terms, and availability vary by option.
- Confirm the current teaching site on your course information rather than using the former Wheatley address.
- Identify whether Oxford Brookes or a partner provider holds the accommodation contract.
- Compare the full contract, room type, bills, payment schedule, cancellation terms, and route before booking.
What to check before booking in the UK
The right room depends on your teaching campus, intake dates, contract length, and whether the provider requires a UK guarantor. Treat the advertised weekly figure as a starting point, then compare the complete contract and payment schedule.
- Confirm the campus and realistic route at your teaching times
- Compare total rent, deposit, bills, guarantor cost, and payment dates
- Ask what happens if your visa, course, or arrival date changes

Do You Need a UK Rent Guarantor?
Some UK accommodation providers may ask for a UK-based guarantor or an alternative such as advance rent. Requirements vary, so confirm the exact policy for each property before paying.
If you do not have a suitable guarantor, we can share information about third-party guarantor services. Check eligibility, fees, coverage, exclusions, and cancellation terms directly with the provider.
